TATDC Showcases Agricultural Technology During the Uhuru Torch Programme in Morogoro

Morogoro, 26 July 2026 – Tanzania Agric-Tech Development Company Limited (TATDC) welcomed stakeholders during activities associated with the Uhuru Torch (Mwenge wa Uhuru) programme in Morogoro Region.

The Uhuru Torch delegation, led by the Regional Uhuru Torch Committee Chairperson, Ms. Asha Mlay, visited the TATDC facility in Mvomero District as part of the regional tour to inspect development projects and promote national unity and economic progress.

The occasion provided an opportunity to present TATDC’s agricultural machinery facility, equipment solutions and plans for supporting farmers, cooperatives, agricultural contractors and agribusiness operators in the region.

Visitors were introduced to selected equipment including the Changfa CFB504-X 50HP 4WD compact tractor, Changfa CFE904-H 90HP medium-duty tractor, battery backpack sprayer, 2-wheel self-propelled sprayer, tracked mini tiller, and the 5-ton hydraulic tipping trailer. TATDC staff also demonstrated the Changfa 2ZS-4HT rice transplanter and provided an overview of drip irrigation systems suitable for horticulture farms.

In addition to equipment display, TATDC presented its service approach covering equipment consultation, operator training, spare-parts assistance, maintenance coordination and financing-application support through partnerships with financial institutions.

The programme highlighted the importance of agricultural investment, practical skills, local service capacity and appropriate mechanisation in supporting productivity and rural economic activity. The Uhuru Torch committee commended TATDC for establishing a local facility that combines equipment supply with training and after-sales support.

TATDC expressed its commitment to cooperating with regional and district authorities, agricultural institutions, training organisations, financial partners and the private sector to expand access to practical agricultural technologies.
