TATDC Opens Agricultural Machinery Facility in Morogoro

Morogoro, 26 July 2026 – Tanzania Agric-Tech Development Company Limited (TATDC) officially opened its agricultural machinery facility in Morogoro, marking an important step in strengthening access to farm machinery, technical support and agricultural mechanisation services in Tanzania.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Hon. Regional Commissioner of Morogoro, Mr. Adam Malima, alongside the District Commissioner of Mvomero, Ms. Zainab Telack, representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, local government officials, agricultural cooperative leaders and private sector partners.

The facility, located in Mvomero District, Morogoro Region, has been developed to serve farmers, cooperatives, agricultural contractors, commercial farms, training institutions and public-sector projects. TATDC’s activities include equipment display and supply, selected local assembly support, product demonstrations, operator training, spare-parts assistance, technical service coordination and agricultural-equipment financing enquiries.

During the opening programme, guests were introduced to the Changfa CFB504-X 50HP compact tractor, Changfa CFE904-H 90HP utility tractor, Changfa CF866 120HP tracked harvester, and the Changfa 2ZS-4HT rice transplanter. Demonstrations of the Changfa CFG1504 150HP heavy-duty tractor and the 5-ton hydraulic tipping trailer were also conducted at the facility grounds.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Hassan Mwambe, TATDC Managing Director, emphasised that the company’s objective is not only to supply equipment, but to help customers select machinery based on farm size, crop, terrain, workload and business potential, and to support correct operation and maintenance after delivery.

The facility includes a showroom, KD assembly area, training space, spare-parts storage and a service workshop. Visitors were given guided tours of the equipment display, assembly area and demonstration grounds.

TATDC expressed its commitment to cooperating with regional and district authorities, agricultural institutions, training organisations, financial partners and the private sector to expand access to practical agricultural technologies across Tanzania.
